I’ve been working with Jess for the past 3 years & I constantly feel like I have a cheerleader, someone who will stick with me through thick & thin, on my good days, and on my not so good days. I have struggled with weight, dieting and mental space throughout my life and Jess has given me so much support and clarity. Working with her has given me the tools to make healthy daily food and exercise decisions to fit my schedule and goals. Understanding how hormones and foods interact together and with your body has given me so much insight to why I have been hitting so many walls and plateaus in my diet/exercise path. I discovered Jess and her mom through a podcast and immediately got my hormones tested. Jess and I started our discussions shortly after and I can truly say it’s been a game changer for my life. I had a rocky relationship with food, so having someone who isn’t diet focused is really important to my mental and physical health. Our conversations aren’t just about her “sexy swaps,” (which has brought excitement back to eating!), but they are also about helping me realize I’m more than my looks and weight. 

Jess continues to listen to what’s currently a struggle for me health wise while remembering all the things I’ve already overcome. Some of the valuable lessons I’ve learned from this journey include really prioritizing my needs in social situations (saying no when I need a night off and taking time for myself), mindful eating, self-care, morning rituals, etc. Jess and I came up with a schedule where I would choose 3 days of movement at the beginning of each week - sometimes that meant signing up for specific classes to hold myself accountable. I also participated in a work out challenge with coworkers and I won the month!! I finally got back into a regular workout schedule. Switching between spin classes, yoga classes, and HIIT/gym workouts. Also morning walks :) Now I have added hiking back in because of the weather! ~Lauren M.
